PRACTICAL HOMESTEADING WITHOUT THE FANTASY

Start small enough to survive your first mistake.

Ozark Vital is about building a more capable, independent life around the time, money, skills and land you actually have—not the finished picture somebody sold you.

Real land. Real livestock. Real construction. Real financial pressure. Corrected failure.

The dream is usually not the problem.

The starting scale is.

WHAT OZARK VITAL IS FOR

Useful before impressive.

Most people do not fail because they are lazy. They fail because enthusiasm outruns infrastructure, time and money. Ozark Vital helps you decide what to build first, what to delay and how to expand without turning the life you wanted into another full-time burden.

40+chickens lost in one night
20+sheep lost before protection worked
200quarts of pickles—and a lesson in scale
1 acreof garden that became one acre of weeds

STARTING OUT

Start small. Miss small.

Lofty goals are fine. Large first mistakes are not. Match the first system to the life you have now.

WHO IS BEHIND THIS

Not a weekend-course homesteader.

Barry Dalke grew up around farms, animals, hunting, fishing and the woods, then spent decades in construction and business. Ozark Vital comes from buying mountain land, building an off-grid cabin, raising livestock, losing animals, overbuilding systems and learning what should have happened first.

“A project can succeed technically and still fail to create the life you imagined.”
